three drinks

If you three Amigos are after a game to get the trio tipsy, you’ve come to the right place! Below are our top three drinking games for three people. Who said third wheeling has to be a bore?

Beer Pong for Three
Just like traditional beer pong, even if you’re no good at all it’s great fun. Get your cups, balls and beer ready and see who comes out on top.

  • Find table big enough for three people – you need to be spread out enough to make it a challenge. Or find three individual surfaces (we know you savvy students can make the most of cardboard boxes if needs be, so no excuse). Or even just use the floor!
  • Arrange yourselves into a triangle – Set up your cups like a usual game of beer pong, an equal distance away from each other.
  • Take turns without mercy – The difference between three-man beer bong and normal beer pong is the tactics. Will two of you team up against one before fighting to the death? Okay, not death, but until drunk or otherwise. Basically, just see who the last one standing is.

Two Truths, One Lie
How well do you really know each other? Whether you do or not, someone is going to have to drink.
The game is simple – each person (in no particular order) says three facts about themselves, two of which are completely true, and one that is a lie. The goal is to guess which one is a lie, so try not to be too obvious (I haven’t got my ears pierced, I’ve seen Coldplay live, I’ve seen a unicorn). If you guess correctly the liar drinks, if you don’t, you drink.

Count to Ten
A very simple concept with a difficult ending. This is a super quick game where you’ll hate each other and spend a lot more time counting then you’d expect.
The aim is simply, to count to 10. As there are only three of you it’s best to stand back to back for added difficulty – or increase the number to 20 (but say goodbye to your soberness). The goal is that as a trio, you count to ten without anyone saying the same number at the same time. If you try to say a number at the same time as someone else, you take a drink. A lot harder than it sounds!

We hope the three of you have a great time, but remember to always drink responsibly! If you need any accessories for your drinking games check out our products!

Beer pong with prosecco

We love Beer Pong, we really do, but sometimes an evening may call for a game with, well, a little more…sophistication. To fix this pong problem, we believe we have found the perfect solution!

That’s right, Beer Bong with Prosecco has arrived to take the world by storm! Now we can get overly competitive and work on our throwing technique over some prosecco. Of course, the premise is exactly the same, each team’s goal is to make the other team drink copious amounts of alcohol, but at least now we can feel fancy doing it.

If this gets you bubbling with excitement, you can purchase any of our Beer Pong sets to get started. Obviously, the golden ingredient to Posh Prosecco Pong is the right booze, but the pong set itself is your choice. Either way, you’ll be adding a touch of sophistication at any party with this glamorous game! We personally recommend our Party Beer Pong, as not only can it include the bubbly prosecco, each dunked pong ball comes with a forfeit card - making it all the more daringly fun.

How to play Posh Pong

Set the cups out in a triangular formation at both ends of a long table. You should have 4 cups at the back, 3 cups in the next row, 2 cups after that and one cup at the front.

Fill a cup with water to wash the prosecco covered pong balls in between turns. Posh Pong needn’t be sticky.

Fill your Beer Pong cup with posh booze. We think this is an improvement on the prosecco flute ourselves, the more prosecco we can fit in the better!

Divide your group into teams.

Each player must then take it in turns to attempt to throw a pong ball into their opponents prosecco.

If they manage to get a ball into a cup, the owners of that cup must drink the bubbly contents.

Once the drink is finished, it must not be replaced.

The first team to make the opposing team lose all their cups wins the game!

Now you have an excuse to play your favourite drinking game no matter what kind of party you are attending! Whether it’s a posh dinner party, or an American-style Frat party, pong has a role to play!

We hope you enjoy playing Posh Pong, just remember to always drink responsibly and be sure to take a break if you feel like you've had enough.

love island beer bong

If like us, you've been religiously watching Love Island, then last night you would have seen them face off in the ultimate game of beer pong! Of course, it being Love Island, there were flirty twists with every throw to get the party going! Despite us sacrificing nights out to stay in and watch our favourite reality TV show, we're now feeling quite inspired to play!

At beer-pong.co.uk, we fully encourage this party atmosphere, which is why we supply Party Beer Pong

party beer pong

How to Play:

Just like in the Love Islander’s game, arrange two sets of cups in a triangular formation at each end of a long rectangular table. Then top up each cup with beer or another drink of your choice. The aim of the game is to get your ping-pong ball into one of the opposing team’s cups. Every successful pong shot in the opposing team’s cups results in your opponent having to drink the contents. On the bottom of each cup is a forfeit that has to be completed. The Party Beer Pong Kit includes:

24 x Party Forfeit Cards
14 x Beer Pong Cups
2 x Balls
Box with Instructions on How to Play

We have our own forfeits, but if you wanted to recreate the Love Island Beer Pong game (cheeky), here are the rules we got to see:

Give a sexy massage to someone on the opposite team who isn’t your partner.

Do a three-way kiss with at least one member of the opposite sex.

Show off your best party trick.

Snog someone on the opposite team who is not your partner.

Suck the most attractive team member's earlobe.

As always, we hope you have a great time partying and recreating the hilarious antics from Love Island, but always remember to drink responsibly. For any other beer pong products check out our page here.

History of Beer Pong

While playing a particularly intense game of throwing ping pong balls into beer cups, have you ever found yourself wondering what the history of beer pong is? Your answer may be no, as your thoughts were most likely drowning in alcohol at that point, so we’re going to save you the trouble and educate you now. You can thank us later! This slightly confusing history of beer pong will provide you with some annoyingly good trivia to share with your friends, and become the group know-it-all.

The Feud

If you refer to Wikipedia for your research, you will find that Dartmouth College apparently invented beer pong somewhere between the 1950s-1960s. Controversially, Bucknell University also claims that they were the creators of the game back in the 1970s. To add more controversy, they also apparently named it ‘throw pong’.  (Is it still the same game if it has a different name? Out of beer pong and throw pong I know which one I’d prefer to play).

The Method

To tell the full history of beer pong, apparently, the game was originally played at Dartmouth with a net and paddles too, explaining the ‘pong’ part of the name. Bucknell claims that they invented the paddle-free version of the game, and thus should gain the reigning crown of beer pong originators.

The Slightly Confusing Addition

Some of you may also know ‘Beer Pong’ as ‘Beirut’. It is the same as beer pong, just weirdly named after the Lebanese capital. Why, you ask? Quite frankly, no one knows. Some say it may be to do with the Lebanese civil war in the 1980’s, but we cannot fathom for the life of us why it would be named after that. Beer pong is fun; a civil war is a distinctly not fun. But we thought you should be aware of the name change nonetheless.

To Summarise

The history of beer pong is somewhat confusing and downright strange at times, but there you have it. Our theory is that no one can remember where or why Beer Pong originated because they were all too good at playing the game and wiped their minds of any memory with intoxication. What’s your theory? We’d love to hear about it!
